It has been a year since Discover Baguio was officially launched in December of 2011. The truth is that we have been working on the website intermittently and there were months of hibernation but we certainly do not want to stop there. Our team has still a lot of work to do - so many places to visit, so much more experiences worth the try, and hundreds of exciting features waiting to be completed.
The purpose of the website is to promote Baguio as a beautiful tourist destination, to highlight the best that the city has to offer. Since we began this project, we enjoyed meeting new people and discovering new things in our own city that even us hadn't seen before. We were thrilled at the whole process of putting together an article that would be worth our readers' time - gathering facts, setting appointments, interviewing personalities, taking photos, editing pictures, making write-ups, editing drafts, fixing errors, etc, etc. There are numerous steps involved before we can finally hit the "PUBLISH" button.
We decided to create this blog so we can supply our readers with regular updates: what we've been up to, previews of up-coming features, and a couple of "behind-the-scenes" peaks online. The posts here are intended to be shorter and more casual than the articles on the website. Most of the photos on this blog would not be published on our website so we still recommend our blog readers to check out the main website to read the complete, detailed and exclusive features.
